KEY FACTS:
  • 622 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 692 during 2016.


  • 48 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2017.


  • 31 serious injuries were males and 17 were females.


  • 33 were vehicle occupants, 9 were motorcycle riders, 4 were pedestrians and 2 were cyclists.


  • In DECEMBER 2017, there were 14 serious injuries in the country and 34 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 43 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2017, 25 involved a single vehicle and 18 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 40 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
