KEY FACTS:
  • 227 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2017, compared with 315 during 2016.


  • 55 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2017.


  • 33 serious injuries were males and 22 were females.


  • 37 were vehicle occupants, 11 were motorcycle riders, 4 were cyclists and 3 were pedestrians.


  • In MAY 2017, there were 24 serious injuries in the country and 31 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 49 serious injury crashes in MAY 2017, 29 involved a single vehicle and 20 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 44 crashes involved a single serious injury and 5 involved multiple serious injuries.
