KEY FACTS:
  • 197 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2018, compared with 220 during 2017.


  • 59 people have been seriously injured in APRIL 2018.


  • 43 serious injuries were males and 16 were females.


  • 39 were vehicle occupants, 10 were motorcycle riders, 5 were cyclists and 5 were pedestrians.


  • In APRIL 2018, there were 33 serious injuries in the country and 26 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 50 serious injury crashes in APRIL 2018, 29 involved a single vehicle and 21 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 47 crashes involved a single serious injury and 3 involved multiple serious injuries.
