  • 55 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2016, compared with 56 during 2015.

  • 55 people have been seriously injured in JANUARY 2016.

  • 31 serious injuries were males and 24 were females.

  • 43 were vehicle occupants, 7 were cyclists, 3 were motorcycle riders and 2 were pedestrians.

  • In JANUARY 2016, there were 29 serious injuries in the country and 26 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 41 serious injury crashes in JANUARY 2016, 21 involved a single vehicle and 20 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 35 crashes involved a single serious injury and 6 involved multiple serious injuries.
