Scholarships
The department offers the following Scholarships:
- Sylvia Birdseye Scholarship is available to full-time, female UniSA students who are undertaking the third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or (Civil and specialisation) program. Particular interest will be paid to candidates enrolled in the (Civil and Transport) specialisation.
- DIT Scholarship in Civil Engineering is available to full-time UniSA students who are undertaking the third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or (Civil and specialisation) program. Particular interest will be paid to candidates enrolled in the (Civil and Transport) specialisation.
- DIT Civil Engineering Scholarship is available to full-time University of Adelaide students who are undertaking the third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Civil & Structural) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Civil & Environment) program of study, or equivalent program administered by the University of Adelaide.
Subject to maintaining such academic performance as is required to remain on the scholarship program, recipients will be offered the following benefits:
- financial assistance to undertake tertiary study
- One 12 week period of paid vacation employment (UVEP) with The Department at the end of the third or fourth year of study. Recipients may choose to apply for additional paid vacation employment with The Department through the advertised recruitment campaign. Additional placements are subject to a merit-based selection process and are not guaranteed.
