Project Assessment Report
The Project Assessment Report (PAR) outlines how we intend to deliver the project. The aim is to get the best result for our community, environment and economy.
The report seeks to broaden community and stakeholder understanding of the final stage of the T2D Project. It also seeks your feedback to support the continued development of the project design.
Purpose
We are committed to delivering sustainable infrastructure, transport and programs that carefully balance economic, environmental and social needs and outcomes.
For this reason, we developed the PAR to:
- understand and minimise the potential environment, heritage and social impacts from construction and operational activities
- maximise environmental and social outcomes to deliver lasting benefits to the community.
Project design and community engagement
The PAR details the impact assessments undertaken on the project design as of December 2022. This iteration of the design includes the key design developments from 2010 to 2022. Since this time, further design refinement has and will continue to occur.
Formal consultation on the PAR took place from 5 March to 9 April 2024. We are considering the valuable information and local insights received in the consultation. These insights will inform the ongoing planning and design refinement of the T2D Project.
We recognise the importance of community and stakeholder consultation. We will continue to consult and engage with the community as the project's design continues to be refined and as construction begins.
