Clarence Park Railway Station
Pedestrian Ramp Upgrade
The State Government is upgrading Clarence Park Railway Station. The first part of these works will involve an upgrade to the station’s access ramp adjacent to the East Avenue level crossing.
What’s happening:
This first stage of works include:
- construction of retaining walls at the northern end of the station platform to allow a longer access ramp to be created;
- relocation of existing light poles, and platform electrical services;
- installation of new balustrade around the retaining wall; and
- installation of new tactiles pavers.
When:
From Monday 15 January until late February 2024.
Hours of operation:
Day Works: 7am - 5pm
Night Works: 7pm - 7am
How this affects you:
During these works, access to the station will be via the stations southern access only.
Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to take care when travelling through the area. The map overleaf provides more details.
Day and night works will occur during this time and temporary lighting towers will used at night along the platform to ensure safe working conditions for the team.
Some noise disturbances can be expected at times while these works are completed, however, we will try to minimise disturbance as much as practically possible.
At times we will need to restrict some parking along Parker Terrace, Canterbury Terrace and East Avenue.
We will maintain access to properties and make every effort to minimise impacts to surrounding properties and road users.
