What's Happening:

Works to upgrade the Marino Railway Station will start on Monday 14 April, and are expected to continue until mid-2025.

The upgrade will include the installation of CCTV and a digital information kiosk with a 24-hour emergency help phone for passenger security.

The interactive platform screen will provide live timetable updates and visual and audio announcements designed to help passengers with visual or hearing impairments.

Tactile paving to guide people safely along the train platform will also improve accessibility at the southern stop, making it easier for everyone to catch public transport.

The upgrade of Marino Railway Station is expected to be completed mid-2025.

When:

Monday 14 April until mid 2025

Hours of operation:

Day works: 7am - 5pm

Last service Thursday 17 April to first service Tuesday 22 April (day and night works)

What to expect

The works will take place on the Marino Railway Station platform including in and near the rail corridor between Newland Avenue and Bandon Terrace.

You may experience high noise levels from rail equipment, with some minor levels of vibration also expected from machinery. There will also be noise associated with vehicle movements and essential communication between workers.

However, every effort will be made to minimise disruption to residents during these works.

We will work with the directly affected residents to understand their needs and minimise the impact as much as possible.

Night works

Temporary lighting towers will be used at night to ensure safe working conditions for the team. We will ensure the lights are directed towards the work site, however there may be some light which spills into other areas
