Verdun Interchange

The existing Verdun Interchange will be upgraded to a full interchange, allowing access to and from the South Eastern Freeway in all directions.

Major construction is planned to start in 2025.

Key features include:

new eastbound entry ramp (towards Mount Barker);
new westbound exit ramp remains at grade with the existing South Eastern Freeway and will cross under the existing Verdun westbound entry ramp and connect with the proposed new roundabout located at Mount Barker Road; and
a new single-lane roundabout at Mount Barker Road suited to the expected traffic volumes. A roundabout in this location was selected as it provides the safest junction treatment for this area.
