Onkaparinga Valley Road
Works on Onkaparinga Valley Road between Verdun and Woodside are now complete.
This project formed part of the Adelaide Hills Productivity and Road Safety Package, which aims to upgrade some of the region’s key strategic arterial roads. The $150 million initiative, jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian government’s (80:20), includes a range of road improvements to support economic growth, improve road safety and increase fire resilience in the Adelaide Hills area.
Completed works on Onkaparinga Valley Road between Verdun and Woodside include:
- road resurfacing to improve skid resistance;
- improving and widening sealed shoulders;
- widening seal width at bus stops to reduce traffic crossing centreline;
- widening of side roads to reduce drag out of loose debris; and
- new line marking.
