Upgrading the staggered-T intersection of Onkaparinga Valley Road, Tiers Road and Nairne Road in Woodside.

Delivering safer and improved roads in the Adelaide Hills.
Making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
Improved access for heavy vehicles.

About the project

The staggered-T intersection of Onkaparinga Valley Road, Tiers Road and Nairne Road in Woodside has been identified as a key location in the Adelaide Hills that would benefit from safety upgrades.

The draft concept design aims to deliver:

  • a new pedestrian crossing on Onkaparinga Valley Road near the Woodside Library that will provide safer pedestrian and cyclist movements
  • increased safety for all users of the junctions
  • improved functionality and access for heavy vehicles which includes an extension of painted medians to provide greater separation of general traffic.
