Churchill Road, Ovingham Pocket Park
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport are creating a Pocket Park near the new Torrens Road bridge, returning vacant land to the community to be used as open green space. The pocket park is located at Churchill Road, Ovingham
Pocket Parks support a safer, connected, and aesthetically pleasing transport network that can enhance lifestyle and connectivity within the community. The Pocket Parks will create shared open space and provide a place to pause and connect.
The works commenced in early January 2025 and are expected to be completed mid 2025. Once the Pocket Park has been completed, it will be transferred to the City of Prospect to own and manage.
The Churchill Road Pocket Park has been designed to maximise the useable open space by re-shaping the site levels, which will allow for further enhancements to the open space in the future.
