Dukes Highway Freight Highway Upgrade Program
Funding has been allocated for improvements on Dukes Highway between Princes Highway turn off and SA border. The upgrades will improve freight productivity by reducing travel times for the delivery of goods to businesses and the community, as well as reducing operating costs for commercial vehicles.
Works on the Dukes Highway, approximately 8km east of Bordertown, are now complete. To ensure motorist safety while final inspections are undertaken, speed reduction will remain in place until late June. Following a final inspection in the coming weeks posted speed will be reinstated by early July 2024.
