Heysen Boulevard Level Crossing Project
To help support urban growth in Mount Barker, the State Government and Mount Barker District Council have agreed to jointly co-fund $5 million worth of works towards the construction of a new rail level crossing on Heysen Boulevard.
Completion of the rail level crossing and construction of Heysen Boulevard across the Steam Ranger Heritage railway line will provide immediate benefit to the community by improving connectivity between Flaxley Road and Wellington Road.
Whilst the final scope of the level crossing works is yet to be determined, the Department will work with Council and Steam Ranger to progress planning and delivery for this key section of Heysen Boulevard.
Further information on this upgrade will be shared in the coming months as detailed design progresses.
