Porter Street, Liverpool Street and Railway Place Intersection Upgrade

Consultation Open

We are upgrading the Porter Street, Liverpool Street (Lincoln Highway) and Railway Place intersection in Port Lincoln. The $4.5 million upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian (80%) and South Australian (20%) governments as part of the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program.

Latest News

Following on-site investigations and initial planning, a proposed concept design has now been developed for the intersection.  You can view the proposed design below or on the latest project update.

Concept design

The proposed concept design includes the installation of traffic signals as the preferred treatment, as it best achieves:

  • increased safety for all users throughout the intersection
  • improved traffic movements throughout the intersection
  • new pedestrian (push button) crossing facilities
  • improved footpaths for better access around the intersection
