    • two overtaking lanes between Whyalla and Port Augusta on the Lincoln Highway.  This work is being funded by the Safety Improvement Program package of works, a part of the Australian Government’s Rural Roads Package.

    Jubilee Highway East, Mount Gambier

Road resurfacing works will commence from Monday, 25 May 2020, on a 3.8 kilometre section of Jubilee Highway (Princes Highway) in Mount Gambier, from Penola Road to Dohle Road on the northern side, and Pick Avenue to Dohle Road on the southern side.

The Jubilee Highway East is a main arterial road through South Australia’s largest regional centre. The resurfacing works aim to improve ride quality for road users and preserve the road surface for years to come.

This project was completed in August 2020.

The $5.1 million of priority pavement reseal and rehabilitation works form part of the $250 million Princes Highway Corridor Strategy, which is jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian Governments.
