West Lakes Boulevard Road Management Plan (RMP)
Latest News
Thank you to all members of the community who took the time to provide feedback at our engagement sessions in October 2023.
Community and stakeholder engagement plays a key part in the successful development of the West Lakes Boulevard RMP. Local input will be used to help us better understand the current challenges and identify potential traffic management treatments.
Following this consultation, we have released a summary report of feedback received throughout the consultation process. This report can be viewed here.
About the project
As part of the State Government’s election commitments, the Department for Infrastructure and Transport is developing a Road Management Plan (RMP) for the full length of West Lakes Boulevard.
Located within the City of Charles Sturt, West Lakes Boulevard provides an east-west link between Port Road and Military Road.
The West Lakes Boulevard RMP will identify opportunities in the short and medium term to improve the operations and safety of the road corridor for all users. The RMP will be developed in consultation with key stakeholders and the community.
The draft RMP will be released for community feedback by mid-2024.
There is currently no funding committed beyond the development of the West Lakes Boulevard Road Management Plan. This planning work will help inform future funding considerations.
