Office of the Registrar-General
Since October 2017 the provision of land titling functions/services in South Australia have been commercialised. Services, such as registration of land dealings, are now provided by Land Services SA.
The Office of the Registrar-General is the regulatory body that oversees the operational aspects of the land titling functions provided by Land Services SA to ensure the integrity of the land register is maintained.
The statutory role of the Registrar-General continues, with the legal, policy and regulatory functions relating to the Real Property Act 1886 and other relevant legislation remaining within the Office of the Registrar-General.
