SOUTH AUSTRALIA – RIVER MURRAY – MEASURING STATIONS

Mariners are advised that the Department for Environment and Water has installed six new salinity measuring stations in the River Murray and its tributaries at the following locations:

Lake Bonney near the north-western inlet in position 34° 11’ 55.3” S, 140° 25’ 30.4” E. The measuring station consists of a floating pontoon (approximate size 3m x 2m) and is marked with yellow St Andrews crosses and a yellow flashing light.
Lake Bonney near the Barmera historic jetty in position 34° 14’ 55.1” S, 140° 27’ 32.4” E. The measuring station consists of a yellow floating buoy equipped with a yellow flashing light.
Near Cobdogla in position 34° 15’ 49.3” S, 140° 23’ 09.8” E. The measuring station consists of a floating pontoon (approximate size 3m x 2m) and is marked with yellow St Andrews crosses and a yellow flashing light.

Tanyaca Creek in the Pike floodplain, 150m upstream of the new Tanyaca Regulator in position 34° 13’ 34.9” S, 140° 46’ 13.1” E. The measuring station consists of a floating pontoon (approximate size 3m x 2m) and is marked with yellow St Andrews crosses and a yellow flashing light.
Splash Creek in the Murray River National Park in position 34° 20’ 51.9” S, 140° 31’ 49.6” E. The measuring station consists of a floating pontoon (approximate size 3m x 2m) and is marked with yellow St Andrews crosses and a yellow flashing light.
Northern Arm of Eckert Creek in the Murray River National Park in position 34° 18’ 50.2” S, 140° 34’ 30.2” E. The measuring station consists of a floating pontoon (approximate size 3m x 2m) and is marked with yellow St Andrews crosses and a yellow flashing light.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
