Yorktown Road and Adams Road roundabout

As part of the State Government's election commitments to upgrade, or investigate potential upgrades, in the northern suburbs to improve safety, access and make travel easier for all users, we have installed a single lane roundabout at the junction of Yorktown Road and Adams Road in Elizabeth Downs.

The installation of this roundabout will improve safety and reduce waiting times for motorists turning right out of Adams Road onto Yorktown Road.

Works were completed in December 2024. Some vegetation work and landscaping will be undertaken by council.

Local insights gathered throughout the process, along with input from key stakeholders and technical data, was used to help inform this project.

This project included:

• Installation of a single lane roundabout
• New and upgrade LED lighting to improve safety
• New kerb and gutter
• New and upgraded road surface and new line marking
• New Pedestrian crossing facilities on Adams Road, approaching the roundabout
