About the project

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is upgrading the intersection of Grange Road, Holbrooks Road and East Avenue to relieve congestion and improve safety and connectivity for all road users at this location.

The $90 million project is part of the $850 million package of broader network upgrades, funded by the Australian and South Australian governments as part of the T2D Project.

Major construction is  now commencing, with the intersection expected to open to traffic in late 2025.

Latest News

East Avenue temporary detour

Works are progressing well at the intersection of Grange Road, Holbrooks Road and East Avenue with service utility works continuing across the project area.

To safely facilitate service relocation works, northbound traffic on East Avenue will be temporarily closed at night from 7pm to 6 am, commencing on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and lasting for approximately one week between Morell Street and Grange Road, weather permitting.

Detours will be in place.
