Barrier Highway is a key transport corridor, connecting South Australia to the far and central west of New South Wales. It also services as the main link for tourism, agriculture, farming and freight for the mid-north region in South Australia.
These upgrades will deliver improvements to freight movements, support regional economic growth and improved safety for all road users.
The proposed upgrades along this section of Barrier Highway include pavement rehabilitation and sealing, shoulder widening and sealing, installation of safety barriers, new line marking and vegetation management (to improve sight distances and improve safety)
