RM Williams Way Safety Upgrades
We are delivering critical road safety upgrades to RM Williams Way between Jamestown and Spalding. These works are jointly funded by the Australian (50%) and South Australian (50%) governments as part of the $168 million National Road Safety Program over three years.

We are upgrading RM Williams Way between Jamestown and Spalding to improve long term safety and efficiency for all road users. Works on these upgrades commenced May 2024. For more information please view for our latest works update.
Project Background
This section of the highway accommodates an average daily traffic flow of 650 vehicles, including 21% heavy vehicles, and these upgrades will help deliver improvements to freight movements and support regional economic growth. Works include pavement rehabilitation and sealing, shoulder widening and sealing, installation of safety barriers and vegetation management to improve safety
