Friday 8 May 2026

The Road Safety Centre is a hub for interactive learning opportunities for all members of the community to deepen their knowledge of road safety practices.
The award-winning Road Safety Centre in West Beach offers a variety of educational road safety programs for schools, parents, businesses, and community groups. Sessions are led by police officers who bring their real-life experience and expertise to educating the public about the importance of road safety. The centre offers unique sessions for all types of road users, including older road users, motorcyclist, parents, new drivers and school holiday programs, among more. The diversity of sessions includes all road users and highlights how road safety requires a commitment to lifelong learning. The best news is that these sessions are free to attend!
For many adults, it may have been a while since you studied the road rules in preparation to receive your driver licence. As the ways in which we use our roads advances, so do the road rules. These sessions are a great way to refresh your thinking about road conduct and sharpen your knowledge of the South Australian road rules. If you are teaching a learner driver, taking part in one of these sessions is a proactive step toward helping them become a safe road user.
There are also a range of free road safety programs that can be organised for interested schools, businesses, or groups that want to promote road safety awareness within their community. These sessions can be held at the centre in West Beach or educators can conduct the session at your chosen location for added convenience.
The Road Safety Centre also host a range of free public sessions on the following topics:
