The State Planning Commission is integral to the delivery of South Australia’s planning system and management of its instruments, to make our state more liveable, affordable, sustainable and prosperous.

The Commission’s role is to promote the principles outlined in the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 to encourage state-wide economic growth and support liveability.

About the Commission

The State Planning Commission is an independent body providing advice and leadership on all aspects of planning and development in South Australia.

The Commission is also the state’s principal development assessment and planning advisory body.
