The Southern Innovation Area Development Plan Amendment (DPA) proposes amendment to the Development Plans of Marion, Mitcham and Onkaparinga councils to provide development opportunities around the $620+million Darlington Upgrade Project and a new train station at the Flinders University precinct (Flinders Link).
The DPA is now available for comment for a period of eight weeks until 29 August 2017.
The policy changes encourage the development of an accessible, innovative, southern hub offering a range of international scale education, employment and health facilities, mixed with new urban places for people to live.
The DPA is consistent with Flinders University’s new ‘An Innovation Precinct Master Plan’ and enables the development of a range of land uses consistent with a leading, innovative and contemporary university and with the university’s intended new urban village.
