A joint planning board is established by the Minister to administer planning agreements under Schedule 3 of the Act.
A joint planning board is:
- a body corporate consisting of two or more councils, with powers and responsibilities including annual reporting to the Minister and Commission
- constituted, with their functions, board membership and how they will operate set out in the planning agreement.
A code of conduct is adopted by the Minister to be observed by professionals operating in the planning system under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.
