For a school to be eligible for Way2Go Bike Ed, the school is expected to be an active Way2Go School in the last five years. This may mean that the school:
- has participated in the Way2Go Schools Program to create and deliver a School Travel Plan
- can demonstrate it encourages active travel and promotes safe walking, scooting and cycling to school
- can demonstrate improved road safety, traffic management and/or parking controls around the school in partnership with their local council
- has previously participated in Way2Go Bike Ed and will not have repeat students.
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport forwards an expression of interest to eligible schools during term three each year.
