In 2011 Hills moved offices from South Road to Port Road, providing a perfect opportunity for staff to revaluate the way they travel to work. To facilitate this, Hills joined the smarter travel @ work program, which helped provide their staff with a personalised trip plan from their residence to their new office.

Following a staff travel survey, Hills is now working to implement a number of activities around commute and workplace travel, including providing travel information in induction packs, supplying staff with access to public transport tickets and information to get to meetings, expanding tele-working and running a carpool forum.
