Verification is the process of checking and verifying the details of development applications and includes:
- reviewing the provided documents (plans, technical drawings, reports, etc)
- sending requests for required documentation to verify the application
- determining the planning assessment pathways (Accepted, Deemed-to-Satisfy, Performance Assessed, etc)
- invoicing and payment of associated fees to lodge the development application.

Verification tool - Code Rules Checklist
The Code Rules Checklist tool can be used for Planning Consent applications that have a status of "in verification" or "awaiting verification" to identify refined elements of an application that has a Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) pathway in the Planning and Design Code (the Code).
