Temporary weekend closures on Seaford and Flinders rail lines for track maintenance works

A partial Seaford line closure and a full Flinders line closure will be in place this Saturday, 26 November 2022, to safely allow track maintenance works.

Trains will not be running in both directions on the Seaford line between Adelaide and Oaklands Railway Station from first service until approximately 9pm Saturday, 26 November, with the Flinders line also fully closed during this time.

For Seaford line passengers, substitute buses will operate between Adelaide and Oaklands railway stations, while on the Flinders line, substitute buses will operate along the whole line to provide alternative services for commuters.

Trains will continue to run to normal timetables on the Seaford line between Oaklands and Seaford railway stations during this partial closure.

Trains will resume normal running on both lines from approximately 9pm on Saturday evening.

These temporary closures are necessary to safely undertake track maintenance works between Adelaide Showgrounds Station and Oaklands Railway Station that cannot be undertaken while trains are running.

These works have been specifically scheduled on a weekend with no major events, to minimise the impact to commuters.

The Department apologises for any inconvenience and thanks commuters for their patience while these important works are undertaken.
