Temporary closure of Tea Tree Plaza Bus Interchange and Park ‘n’ Ride

Wednesday, 18 January 2023

The Tea Tree Plaza Bus Interchange and Park ‘n’ Ride will temporarily close this weekend to allow for maintenance work.

Works include repairing potholes and uneven surfaces within the precinct.

The closure will be in place from 7pm Friday, 20 January until 5am Monday, 23 January 2023, weather permitting. These works have been scheduled on the weekend to reduce the impact on commuters.

The Park ‘n’ Ride will close from 7pm Friday, 20 January. Users will still be able to retrieve their cars until midnight, however after that time no access will be possible until the Park ‘n’ Ride reopens at 5am Monday, 23 January. Alternative Park ‘n’ Ride facilities are available at Golden Grove or Paradise.

During the closure of the Tea Tree Plaza Bus Interchange, buses will depart from Smart Road and travel on the road network (rather than along the O-Bahn track) between the Tea Tree Plaza and Paradise interchanges.

Speed and lane restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the works along Smart Road and Modbury Avenue. Signage will be in place to advise road users of the changed traffic arrangements. Drivers are urged to take extra care when workers are on site and observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers.

Seymour Avenue car park

Vegetation removal at the Seymour Avenue car park at Modbury will also be undertaken this weekend. This will mean that parking will be temporarily unavailable at the Seymour Avenue car park on Saturday, 21 January from 7am to midday.
