Reminder: No train services from 3pm to 7pm today (Wednesday 17 April) due to industrial action
Wednesday, 17 April 2024
A reminder that no train services will be running between 3pm and 7pm today (Wednesday 17 April) due to industrial action being taken by some drivers employed by private contractor Keolis Downer Adelaide.
While Adelaide Metro has been advised industrial action will be taken between 4pm and 6pm today - services will be impacted from approximately 3pm, with trains not expected to return to normal timetables until after 7pm.
Adelaide Metro continues to work to limit the impact of industrial action to train passengers, however the timing of the action during the afternoon/evening peak means there will be very limited substitute bus services available.
A small number of substitute bus services will be operating in close vicinity to train lines, please check the Adelaide Metro website for more details, including substitute bus stop locations and alternative bus services.
Customers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternative transport arrangements, including catching regular bus services, trams, organising a lift with family or friends, or working from home where possible.
Adelaide Metro will continue to keep customers informed of impacts to train services via all available channels, including at adelaidemetro.com.au, on the Adelaide Metro’s X account and the Adelaide Metro's Facebook page.
Passengers are also being made aware of this disruption to services with signage in Adelaide Railway Station and station announcements across the network.
Passengers can also call the Adelaide Metro Infoline on 1300 311 108 or visit the Adelaide Metro InfoCentre in the Adelaide Railway Station (both open 7am-8pm daily) with any enquiries.
Adelaide Metro thanks all customers for their patience and apologises for the inconvenience caused by this industrial action.
