Exhibition shows Torrens to Torrens perspective
Tuesday, 15 May 2018
The Torrens to Torrens project along South Road is being celebrated in art and photography.
Torrens to Torrens Perspectives is a group exhibition of personal responses to the South Road redevelopment, including pieces such as watercolour, photographs, mosaics and paintings.
On display at the Hindmarsh Library on Port Road until Friday 29 June, this is an opportunity to see the project from the perspective of the community.
The centrepiece of the exhibition is by Donna Parker and is a ‘thank you to T2T photo’ she created which is for sale at $1490 and incorporates several project photos from her perspective on the one canvas.
This piece is a great story as the young traffic controller in the art piece is her daughter who got a job on the project. Her name is Ali and she is in the project ‘target group’ for employment.
All the artworks and photos are for sale.
