SOUTH AUSTRALIA – EYRE PENINSULA – EMERGENCY MARINE RADIO OUTAGES WEST AND EAST OF WHYALLA
Mariners are advised that there will be several outages affecting the Emergency Marine Radio Network on Thursday 6th August and Friday 7th August 2020.
The details of the outages are as follows:
Thursday 6th August 13:00-17:00hrs: All Emergency Marine Radio Sites west of Whyalla
Friday 7th August 10:00-13:00hrs: All Emergency Marine Radio Sites East of Whyalla
Friday 7th August 13:00-15:00hrs: All Emergency Marine Radio Sites West of Whyalla
These are outage windows, actual outage durations may vary but they will fall within outage windows.
The outages are required to move the Marine Radio Network onto new technology (Thursday 6th August) and to update operating firmware on SAGRN inter-site radio bearers (Friday 7th August).
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
