Notice to Mariners No. 46 of 2023
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT - GLENELG – HOLDFAST SHORES – TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Mariners are advised that new piles will be installed at the Holdfast Shores marina on Wednesday 23 August and Thursday 24 August 2023. The anchors of the pile driving barge may protrude into the navigation channel to and from the Patawalonga lock and the Holdfast Shores marina. Mariners may experience small delays in traversing this area as the navigation channel may be closed to all boat traffic while the barge is positioned. Mariners shall seek direction from the work boat inside the marina via VHF Channel 14 and from the contractor’s staff on the lock prior to proceeding past the barge.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
