South Australia’s Road Safety Strategy to 2031
South Australia’s Road Safety Strategy to 2031 aims to improve road safety for everyone living in and visiting our state.
The South Australian Government's long-term vision is to see zero lives lost on our roads by 2050.
The strategy focuses our efforts on the things that will have the greatest impact on reducing lives lost and serious injuries on our roads.
To support this, the strategy sets out these ambitious 10-year targets:
- At least 50% reduction in lives lost
- At least 30% reduction in serious injuries on South Australian roads by 2031.
Extensive consultation with stakeholders and the community guided the development of the strategy. Read the Consultation Outcomes Report (PDF, 2415 KB).
