About the project

Completed works on Onkaparinga Valley Road between Verdun and Woodside include:

• road resurfacing to improve skid resistance
• improving and widening sealed shoulders
• widening seal width at bus stops to reduce traffic crossing centreline
• widening of side roads to reduce drag out of loose debris
• new line marking

This project was part of the Adelaide Hills Productivity and Road Safety Package, which aims to upgrade some of the region’s key strategic arterial roads. The $150 million initiative, jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian government’s (80:20), includes a range of road improvements to support economic growth, improve road safety and increase fire resilience in the Adelaide Hills area.
