Asbestos Management

We provide asbestos advice to South Australian Government agencies, according to:

• relevant Australian and state legislation
• our state government policies and procedures.

We work closely with Australian and state regulatory authorities on asbestos management issues. We also administer the Treasury Asbestos Removal Fund. The fund aims to remove asbestos in government buildings.

• Advice on asbestos site inspections, management plans and removal
• Mandatory requirements on using:
  • prequalified asbestos consultants for air monitoring, clearances and inspections
  • prequalified asbestos removal contractors
