Asbestos management
We provide asbestos advice to South Australian Government agencies. Our advice is according to:
- relevant Australian and state legislation
- our state government policies and procedures.
We work closely with Australian and state regulatory authorities on asbestos management issues.
We also administer the Treasury Asbestos Removal Fund. The fund aims to remove asbestos in government buildings.
Areas of expertise
Our Asbestos Services can provide advice about:
- asbestos management advice and legal requirements
- codes of practice for asbestos management and removal
- South Australian Asbestos Action Plan, including mandatory requirements and reporting
- asbestos site inspections, management plans and removal.
We also understand mandatory requirements when using:
- prequalified asbestos consultants for air monitoring, clearances and inspections
- prequalified asbestos removal contractors.
