About the project

We are rebuilding the Penneshaw Public Jetty to improve safety and access for all users.  These works are being undertaken to ensure ongoing public access to the Penneshaw Public Jetty. The new jetty will provide significant economic, social, and environmental benefits for the community

What's happening

The new jetty upgrade will include:

  • A new concrete boardwalk connecting to the historical timber jetty
  • New durable and long lasting handrails for improved safety
  • New lighting
  • New steel piles to support sections of the new concrete broadwalk
  • Refurbishment of remnant timber jetty and permanent cruise ship landing

Once the Penneshaw Public Jetty has been completed, we will remove the cruise ships temporary berthing pontoon and return the space to its original state.
