About the project
An exclusion zone is in place around the Old Rapid Bay jetty, and all vessels, divers and swimmers are prohibited beneath and within 20 metres of the Old Rapid Bay Jetty.
What's happening
We have installed buoys and updated signage around the area alerting people of the exclusion zone.
An engineering inspection of the Old Rapid Bay Jetty was undertaken in May 2025. We are currently assessing the findings of this assessment to determine next steps.
New Rapid Bay Jetty
Maintenance works on the new Rapid Bay Jetty to improve the jetty's structural integrity and lifespan were completed in 2025.
