About the project
Remediation works were undertaken on the Southend Jetty Lower Landings to improve the jetty’s structural integrity and lifespan.
These works were undertaken as part of the South Australian Marine Asset Sustainment fund. The fund is designed to ensure ongoing access to jetties, which provide significant economic, social, and environmental benefits for communities.
What we did
Remediation works on the Southend Jetty lower landings are now complete.
These works will help to facilitate safer berthing and mooring for vessels by strengthening the jetty’s structural integrity,
Works included the installation of new structural piles, extra jetty bracing, fender extensions and handrails, improving the structure’s longevity and reliability.
