About the project

We are upgrading the Sturt Highway between Renmark and Gawler. Extending approximately 210km, this section of Sturt Highway passes through the townships of Nuriootpa, Truro, Blanchetown, Waikerie, Barmera, Berri and Renmark. 

What's happening

Works may include:

  • road rehabilitation works including shoulder sealing, resurfacing and upgraded barriers
  • additional overtaking lanes
  • improved and additional rest areas
  • safety enhancements at key junctions of the Sturt Highway.

Current works

The Sturt Highway, Junction Road, Airport Road intersection upgrade is currently in planning.
