Tarlee Road Safety Upgrades
These upgrades are funded as part of the Australian Government’s 2024-25 Black Spot Program which directly targets high risk roads for safety improvements.
About the project
We have delivered g safety upgrades on Tarlee Road, between Hogan Road and Oaklodge Road at Kapunda.
Works commenced on 18 March 2026, with completion in June 2026.
What we did
Works included:
- Safety barrier installation
- Shoulder sealing
- Audio Tactile Line Marking (ATLM)
- Vegetation management.
ATLM is used to reduce rural ‘run-off-road’ crashes by providing a noise (audio) and vibratory (tactile) warning to road users.
Vegetation Management
To undertake critical safety upgrades on Tarlee Road some vegetation removal was required.
Throughout the planning and design process every effort was made to minimise vegetation impacts, however, some removals were necessary.
