About the project

We are undertaking upgrades of the tram line between South Terrace and Moseley Square. These upgrades will improve passenger safety and comfort.

What's happening

We completed several upgrades along the tram line while it was closed to facilitate the removal of three level crossings as part of the Tram Grade Separation Projects.

As part of these works, we:

• installed passenger information screens (totems) with integrated CCTV, real-time public transport information, and an emergency phone on station platforms
• upgraded pedestrian crossings and paths at Joslin Street and Moresby Street, Wayville
• upgraded overhead wiring
• vegetation management
• installed a new tram drivers’ facility near Brighton Road, Brighton

Some minor works are continuing and are expected to be completed by the end of March 2026.
