About the project

We have upgraded the junction of Wynn Vale Drive and Bridge Road in Gulfview Heights, as part of an election commitment to improve safety and access in the northern suburbs.

The new traffic signals at the junction of Bridge Road and Wynn Vale Drive were activated on Saturday 29 November 2025, ahead of schedule.

What's happening

Works included:

• installation of traffic signals at the junction – including signalised pedestrian crossings and new CCTV

• construction of a dedicated right turn lane from Bridge Road into Melville Road

• construction of an indented bus stop on both sides of stop 43C Bridge Road
  

Vegetation management

We understand that the community values trees in the area. For project vegetation management information, see our vegetation management fact sheet (PDF 198KB).

Landscaping and replanting in the reserve adjacent Bridge Road will be completed by the Department in mid 2026 once utility services works by APA are complete.
