In October 2024, the Commission received a publicly initiated Stage 1 potential proposal to move the council boundary between The Barossa Council and the Mid-Murray Council.

The proposal seeks to move the towns of Truro and Dutton, together with the nearby area, from the Mid-Murray Council into The Barossa Council.
