Upgraded Old Reynella Interchange promises safer, easier journey
Friday, 16 September 2022
Thousands of southern suburbs bus commuters are set to enjoy a safer and easier commute thanks to $2 million of upgrades now complete at Old Reynella Interchange.
The upgrades include new bus platform shelters, wayfinding and real time passenger information signage, metroCARD ticket recharge machine, secure bike cage, landscaping and tactile ground surface indicators to assist visually impaired customers.
There is also improved pathway and platform lighting, CCTV and pedestrian pathway access to increase safety at the interchange for all users.
A key feature of the upgraded interchange is new artwork by local artist Adam Poole-Mottishaw, which captures the history and most significant features of the region.
A new public toilet will also soon be installed at the interchange.
