Rehabilitation works commence on key mid-north roads
Thursday, 24 November 2022
Pavement rehabilitation works are set to commence on two key roads heading north out of Adelaide, to provide safer and smoother access to the towns of Hamley Bridge and Freeling.
The South Australian Government has committed $4.5 million towards rehabilitating both Owen Road, between Horrocks Highway and Hamley Bridge, and Templers Road, between Horrocks Highway and Freeling.
The works will commence on Templers Road on Wednesday, 23 November 2022, for approximately five weeks (weather permitting). Once complete, works will then move to Owen Road in January 2023.
The roads are important connectors between the two townships and the Horrocks Highway and have been subject to frequent repairs over the past 12 months due to potholes and other damage.
All work will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Speed and lane restrictions will be in place throughout these works. Road users are asked to please plan head, allow extra travel time, and take extra care when workers are on site. Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.
