Repair works on the Paringa Bridge
Tuesday, 21 February 2023
Repair works on the Paringa Bridge on the Sturt Highway will commence at 7am tomorrow morning, Wednesday, 22 February 2023 as part of the flood recovery program across the region.
These works will ensure the ongoing structural integrity and longevity of the bridge.
Works will be undertaken from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday, and are planned to be completed by 1pm on Friday, 10 March 2023.
The Department has been working closely with local industry to manage these works and minimise impacts.
The Sturt Highway over the Paringa Bridge will remain open. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with traffic lights in place to control the direction of traffic for the duration of the project. Speed restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the works.
An alternate route is available via Loxton.
Road users are asked to please plan ahead, expect delays, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site. Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.
The Department appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are undertaken.
